The Council is the supreme governing body of The Polytechnic. It is headed by a chairman. The members appointed
by Government represent various interests
The Council is ultimately responsible for the general management of the affairs of The Polytechnic and in particular matters of finance, staff condition of service, discipline, properties, building programmes and material provision for students
It has the power to do anything which in its opinion is calculated to facilitate the carrying out of the purpose of The polytechnic and promote its best interest. The Registrar is teh Secretary to the Council.

The Board of Studies has direct control over academic work of The Polytechnic. It is made up of the Rector as the Chairman, Deputy Rector, director of Campuses, Chief Librarian, Dean of Fcaulties, Heads of Departments, Senior Principal Lecturers and representatives of academic Staffs
The Board determines the academic policy and makes reccommendations to the Council on a wide range of other policy matters. It reviews and co-ordinates the work of the departments, makes regulations governing courses of study and examinations and is responsible for the award of diplomas. The Registrar is the Secretary to the Board
This Committe co-ordinates academic and administrative activities in the Faculty. The Dean of the Faculty is the Chairman. The other members are the Heads of Departments in the Faculty. Senior Principal Lecturers and departmentsl representatives. FCC is responsible to the Board of Studies for organising and teaching courses within its disciplines.
It also maintains students' discipline. The Faculty Officer is the Secretary to the Committee
