Samuel Babalola Babarinde was born on 10th May 1956 at Saki in Oyo State. He attended Baptist High School Saki between 1969 and 1973. He later proceeded to the University of Nigeria (Enugu Campus) between 1979 and 1983 for a Bachelors degree (with honours) in Finance, after a brief start at the Ministry of Agriculture Ibadan. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife in 1992.
He joined The Polytechnic,Ibadan in 1984 as an Assstant Lecturer and rosse to the position of Senioe Principal Lecturer in 2004. He was the Head of Department for years in Banking and Finance Department and in between Dean FFMS, November 1st 2009.
He is an Associate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management and fellow of the Financila and Investment Analyst of Nigeria.
